The Unicorn’s Tale is the second release in the highly coveted Ardbeg Anthology Collection. Matured for 14 years in a harmonious blend of aromatic Madeira casks and classic bourbon barrels, this very rare expression draws inspiration from the mythical, lesser-spotted Islay Unicorn.

Non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% ABV, this whisky has already made waves, earning a Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2024, alongside Gold Medals at both the International Spirits Challenge 2024 and the International Wine & Spirits Competition.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Rich, sweet, and aromatic with layers of baked banana bread and syrupy sponge pudding. Treacle intertwines with hints of burning cedarwood, while a splash of water reveals tropical fruits, eucalyptus oil, and soft, aromatic smoke.

• Palate: Bright notes of lime and sweet peaches burst forth, followed by rich smoked fruits and baked bread. These evolve into antiseptic lozenges, creosote, aniseed, and soft barley malt, underpinned by nutmeg and peat smoke.

• Finish: Long and lingering with a whimsically smoky character. Madeira cask influence shines through, leaving menthol, clove, wood smoke, and camphor in its wake.
