A bold expression from Lochranza Distillery, Machrie Moor captures the classic freshness of Arran Single Malt—elevated by a distinctive puff of peat smoke. This cask strength release (56.2% ABV) represents some of the earliest peated whisky ever crafted on the Isle of Arran.

Inspired by the windswept peat bog of Machrie Moor on the island’s west coast—home to ancient stone circles and the legend of the giant warrior Fingal—this whisky evokes the mystique and rugged beauty of its namesake landscape. According to lore, Fingal tethered his loyal hound Bran to one of the stones in this desolate moor, adding mythical weight to each dram.

Since 2019, all peated whisky from Arran is now made at the Lagg Distillery—making Machrie Moor a rare opportunity to experience the original peated style from Lochranza before it disappears into history. Unleash the legend.
