The Lion’s Jewel tells the fable of Islay’s regal protector — a mighty lion who, deep within his coastal den, safeguards a glowing ruby gem. Forged over decades of fire and ferocity, this rare stone radiates with smouldering intensity and irresistible warmth — the very essence of Lagavulin.

This is the first-ever 26-year-old expression released from the iconic distillery. Matured in first-fill Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso seasoned casks, the whisky reveals a complex character that reflects both the fiery spirit of youth and the wisdom of age. Its deep, ruby hue hints at the richness within.

Tasting Notes

  • Nose: Intense and wine-woody, with bold peaty smoke enveloping notes of baked figs and dark fruit.
